Virtual Dentistry

What is a virtual dental consultation?

A private video conference with your dentist.

Who is able to see the virtual dentist?

Anyone! Our virtual dentist is open to current patients as well as new patients with or without insurance.

What types of dental issues can be consulted?

Tooth aches, jaw pain, broken teeth, lost crowns, and more. We hope to temporarily resolve your issues until dental offices are allowed to reopen their doors.

What are the benefits?

Our doctor can help diagnose issues through the comfort and safety of your home, including any prescription needs, through virtual access to your dentist.

We are able to identify if you have the need for immediate care and facilitate emergency treatment.

By having this virtual consult, you will be first-in-line for treatment once we can safely see patients in-office again. You might also be able to bypass the in-office exam and be eligible for same-day treatment.

What are its limitations?

We cannot complete treatment and we cannot take x-rays. However, we can typically narrow the problem down enough to get a diagnosis. We can give the appropriate dental advice and call in prescriptions to manage the problem. We can also determine if it is indeed a life-threatening emergency and get you to the correct facility for immediate care.

Disclaimer: Without radiography and additional testing, a full diagnosis may not be achievable with only a virtual exam but it is an excellent tool to help triage and start the diagnosis process to resolve dental issues.

Will dental insurance cover the consult?

If you have a dental PPO the virtual dental consult will likely be covered. Please call and ask our office for details.

What if I do not have insurance?

No worries! We have a reduced price of $49 for 30 minutes of consult time.

How can I schedule?

If you are in need of a virtual consult, call our office at 817-283-5376 or fill out our site contact form to schedule your appointment today! If you are not a patient of record you will need to complete the new patient forms under the patients tab on our website and email us a copy of your driver’s license and insurance card, if applicable. Our front office staff can schedule you a convenient time for you to meet with our doctor.

How does the virtual consult work?

Before your appointment you will receive an e-mail with a link to your video conference. You can use a computer or a phone to click the link and it will walk you through how to log into the virtual consultation.
